Selling ONLINE!

photo from Tres Birds Photography
Every show we participate in, we get asked the same questions.... Where is your store?

We usually respond, "In our garage at home", and then laugh because if you saw our garages at home you would NOT want to enter... scary stuff!

We pack up our left overs and drag them home to sit in our garages until the next show.

But for us, this year... we are not scheduled to do any more shows. (yet!)
So, this has made us ponder....

as we have shared before, we are a "partnership" that lives 300 miles apart. One on the west side of the state, One on the east side of the state.

Having a store would be fabulous... but its just not possible! So....

Why not offer an ONLINE store?

An Online Wild Whimsy General Store?

So, tell us what you think.... and if we are asking you to leave a comment giving us your feedback, well then, we better have a give-away right?

Leave a comment, telling us:
1.) Should we offer an online store?
2.) What you think we should call it?
AND you will be entered to win one of THESE!

Yes! You most definitely need an online store. I am head over heels in love with your stuff and would be delighted to see you cut the red ribbon and open up shop!

Why not Wild Whimsy General Store? Or just Wild Whimsy? Wild Whimsy Mercantile is pretty sweet too. You just can't go wrong.

Loved your booth at Farm Chicks!

I agree with the above comments...a store would be great! Wild Whimsy General Store is perfect. Like the other comment, stick with what people know.

I was at the Farm Chicks show as well, and loved your booth! I'd love to shop online with you too!

Bring on the store!! That would be great!

So funny... I think everyone asks us that same question!!! This whole 'selling at shows only' thing is so new, most people just don't get it yet.

I think you should do it! Your style is fabulous, you could certainly put together a web store that is as wonderful as your booth at shows!

I'm with Elaine - 'Wild Whimsy Mercantile' would be my suggestion. Fits your funky vintage vibe!

Best of luck to you girls, I know you will succeed in anything you undertake!

Hey Girls, Your booth rocked...why wouldn't an online site??? If nothing else, do Etsy! I don't think you can go wrong here. It is alot of work...I'm not gonna lie, but the revenue would be worth it. I hope you do it, let us know when you do! By the way I did some promoting for ya on my blog http://www.trishabrinkdesign.blogspot.com and on my flickr pages as well...folks are really liking your stuff!!! I hope you did really well, and happy to have met you!

Cheers,
Trish :o)

Adored you girls at the F.C. show. You have such a lovely aesthetic...and now since W.W. Mercantile/General Store have already been mentioned, these are my name ideas for you: Wild Whimsy Emporium or Wild Whimsy Bazaar...

I have only just stumbled across your blog and I have to say an online store would be a brilliant investment. That way all the people from across the states and the UK (like me!) who can't reach your shows could still buy your beautiful goods!

well you want the truth right?
I have had an online store since '04. It was not fun (for me) I love my retail store, making art, designing displays, planning events and meeting new people. Shipping and making things to order was an excellent sorce of income but I felt it kept me tied up, when I would rather be doing other things. I just put my site under constuction for the summer last night. Follow your heart, if this is somthing that totally excites you, you will love it.
Wishing you the best, you girls are super cute, and your products are dreamy!

I'm another who just found your blog. I love it. I do believe since Wild Whimsy is the name current customers recognize that you should leave it in the title somewhere. You might start out with an etsy store just to see how it works out and if you like it before setting up your own site.

I just lucked onto your blog today, and totally fell in LOVE!! I hate that I live so far away from the Farm Chicks show and so many other good ones, so online shopping is very important to me.
I would stick with Wild Whimsy..love that name and y'all have already made a name for yourselves with it! Good luck with all you do...:-)

Yes! Please open an online store!
I can't wait to buy a rose cuff! My suggestion for a store name would be: Wild Whimsy Wear or A Dash of Sass.

I am glad I discovered you today! I would love to have an opportunity to visit your new store...
"Wild & Wonderful"
"Fanciful Diversions"
"Whimsical Notions"
"Peculiar Potions & Such"
...just to name a few!
I love your style!

Definately you should open a shop and call it The Wild Whimsy General Store!! Perfect...:) I think it would be a huge success...xx

First, gotta tell you girls that your booth was THE BEST thing at Farm Chicks! The front metal with the crystal lights, etc...was creative genius!!
How about having a "market" on Facebook? That seems to be where everyone is leading!
How about Wild Whimsy Boutique? or Wild Whimsy Worldwide? or Where in the World is Wild Whimsy? Oh, the list goes on and on...
Have fun and looking forward to seeing your online store!! xxooshari french
