The metal cabinet on the table is one I rescued off some ones junk pile...it's in rough shape, but I think it's cool.

We are going to use old ladders to display some of our goods.
I still think $5.00 was too much!

Finding Junk is hard work....

I love the thrill of the hunt when you are garage sale-ing, but I hate it when you follow a sign that says "Farm Estate Sale" (sounds great, huh?) all ready to have junkgasm and when you get there you find a bunch of overpriced crap. I did get an old wood ladder (as seen in pics) but the lady wouldn't come down from $5....I hate it when that happens. Anyway, I did get that fun mirrored medacine cabinet at the next sale and it was only a buck, so I was excited about that. I really think the Farm Chicks ruined the market over here....people really seem to know what they have. What the heck!

Barn BARn BabY!

Hey Y'all!

We have our second show coming.. and me and Sarah are starting to panick.. she may be enjoying the RAIN on the east side of the Mts(check out our last post)...BUT I sure AM not! I have SO much to paint, sand, finish, and then then ofcourse SAND again, I just cant believe we only have a few weeks until it all happens again! Rain, rain GO away! yikes!! (deep breath). And hopefully Sarah is enjoying the SUN for me!(its still raining here!) We talked for a second today and decided that its time to REALLY start brain-storming. (too bad we are business partners in this and live 5 hours from eachother!(thank goodness for free Verizon to Verizon!)

So, heres the link to the SALE, coming Sept. 6th... AND this sale was even featured in Country Living this month! go check it out! http://www.barnbarnbaby.com/ OR http://www.countryliving.com/antiques/shops-and-shows/vintage-barn-antiques-show-0908

If you have never been to this sale, I HIGHLY recommend it! I just talked to the Owner, Rolane Hopper,(the cutie pie in the picture above) and she informed me that they will even have LIVE BANDS this time! :) too fun! So, bring your dancing shoes!
It's somewhat of a drive,(if you dont live near Idaho) but I think it's probably one of the best I've ever been to!
We will be there, cowboy boots and ALL! LOOK for us! Be sure to come and say Hi and tell us that you saw us on our blog! We would LOVE to meet yah!

Much Love and Junkin'

Trisha

All rained in.....

So here I am blogging in the middle of the day (NOBODY tell Diane) and trying to keep busy while it rains and storms outside. This is our first rain since the start of the Summer, so I have to say it is very welcome. All night I had dreams we lived in Seattle (no joke) because of the sound of the rain outside. It does get me in the Fall mood though and give me some idea's for our show.....which is fast approaching. I gotta go be creative!

Quick preview of some things for our Fall show

Chalkboards, chalkboards and more chalkboards.

We are having a hard time finding cheap guitars to make over.....so I am making my own! I am doing different colors and sizes hoping that will add enough Nashville to our booth. Comments and suggestions welcome!
